David Harbour Weight Loss: How He Shed 80 Pounds?

David Harbour’s remarkable transformation, shedding 80 pounds, has left many amazed and curious about his weight loss journey and diet. David disclosed that he lost weight for his latest project, which is Season 4 of Stranger Things.

In the latest episodes of Stranger Things, he appeared lean and fit. Harbour mentioned that he lost a significant amount of weight, approximately 40 to 50 pounds, in just three months for his role.

David Harbour embarked on his weight loss journey when he weighed nearly 270 pounds. After eight months of dedicated effort, he successfully shed about 80 pounds, reaching a healthier weight of 190 pounds. Over the course of eight months, he dedicated himself to a rigorous training regimen, adhering to an exercise plan and practicing intermittent fasting.

In an interview with TOI, He said:

“It’s kind of the fad diet of the moment, but it really did work for me.

It wasn’t so much about what I was eating, it was about the how, and that was much better for my lifestyle, because I don’t cook, and all these guys in fitness are like ‘you’ve got to steam chicken breast and vegetables and a little bit of rice,’ and it’s just not my vibe. I did find, though, because I was really big, the weight came off pretty easily,”

Harbour described the process as eye-opening, highlighting not only his physical transformation but also his newfound experience with fitness.

“It opened up a whole new world, [I’m] a lot more pliable and a lot more teachable, even in my mid 40s, than I ever imagined I could be. And it felt like a rebirth. It was really refreshing and really exciting to feel like after months of training, ‘Oh now I can just sprint across the street if a car comes.’ Just simple little things like that that were really exciting for me.”

But he also mentioned to People that he enjoys the process.

“When I’m in my big dad bod mode … I love my big body as much as I love my lean athletic body. Something about being an actor is you are allowed to live in different skin and I like being a chameleon in that way”

Harbour emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy weight, acknowledging that he had been overweight for many years. Additionally, he shared insights into his weight loss journey during an Instagram live session with his trainer, offering further details on how he achieved his remarkable transformation.

In a recent interview with GQmagazine, Harbour opened up about his struggles and reasons behind his weight loss efforts.

“My trainer [David Higgins] worked with me for 8 months to make the transformation, and then another year to keep it through the pandemic,” he shared in an Instagram post posted in July 2022. “All told it was a difficult and exciting ride, changing diet and exercise plans (or lack thereof)
