Kelce, who has been indulging in some sweets lately, revealed how he has managed to shed pounds without adhering to a strict diet. Speaking to Access Hollywood at the 35th Annual American Century Championship, Kelce shared his straightforward method. “I feel good,” he said.

“The kids and I, and my wife Kylie, have been down the shore. So I’ve been eating a lot of ice cream and starting to go the opposite route again.”

Despite his recent indulgences, Kelce remains in the low 280s in terms of weight. His secret? A simple philosophy: “My whole thing is calories in, calories out. I don’t overcomplicate it. I don’t get too extreme with diets in general.”

Kelce emphasized the importance of natural foods. “Eat something that’s natural, whether it be a plant, animal-based product, things like that, not processed [food]. And don’t eat too much. The weight kind of comes off naturally.”

After retiring, Kelce publicly committed to losing 35 pounds during an episode of the New Heights podcast. Nearly five months later, he seems to be sticking to his plan. In that same podcast episode, Kelce also discussed the new hobbies he intended to pursue after football. “I’m gonna slim down,” Kelce announced back in March.

“My goal is 250 [lbs]. This last week, I got down to 285 because I knew I was doing this. And then I had cake for three days in a row.”

Kelce’s approach to dieting is notably moderate. “I don’t personally subscribe to doing extreme diets like going all the way vegan or all the way carnivore or keto,” he explained.

According to MailOnline, he mentioned his friend Joe Thomas, who lost a significant amount of weight on a keto diet, and while Kelce admired Thomas’s dedication, he admitted that such an extreme regimen was not for him. “He looks fantastic, but it’s not worth it to me.” Instead, Kelce relies on tracking his food intake.

“I downloaded MyFitnessPal and just started tracking calories. I feel like as long as I maintain my protein intake, so I keep my muscle and just kind of limit the calories, you’ll start to lose weight. That’s the plan.”

Kelce’s journey is a testament to the power of balance and simplicity. By focusing on natural foods, avoiding processed items, and maintaining a moderate approach to calorie counting, he has found a sustainable path to weight loss.
